Celebration Kingdom
I would love to stay and listen to you begrudge capitalism and commercialism every time there is mass enjoyment all over the world. I could even join you in your ranting and complaining. There is a lot I would like to share about the Geico gecko personally. But I like candles and cookies and need to get back to work so I can enjoy them. Holidays are controversial. They are frustrating. With them comes the interruptions of our efforts at peace by the people we invited into our own homes. We are in an era of holiday seasons that come with all sorts of misunderstandings. But I think God has put it on our hearts to celebrate together and not just religious holidays. God has blessed us with a nation of celebration that is made for the purpose of showing the world what we can be as people.
There are many days of celebrations in which God has given His people. These celebrations are isolated to Americans mostly. But the United States of America is a promising land and not a promised one. For many around the world, it has become a destination. For Americans, this home should be more like a vessel or vehicle than a destination. This land once was considered a new world that seemed isolated from being invaded. When it was invaded, an idea of a New World was invited instead of incinerated, as the old worlds of history were.
Where are we invited to go? We don’t know. We do not know where to go. We will probably just go shopping and become friends and family with people we are not supposed to like. Therefore, let us pray for God to provide enough that we may live in peace and consumption together.
While it may not necessarily go with a whole narrative, we will be explaining the holidays going down the calendar year. However, there are certain days categorized together in various parts of the year.
Holidays have categories to them. They do not all go collectively together. Our values as human beings are important throughout the whole year, which is why I believe Christ has placed it on our hearts to celebrate these categories sporadically rather than collectively. I wish it was that they would be combined into seasonal eras throughout the calendar. But we hold more truths to be self-evident when we remember to honor the Way, Truth, and Life in all seasons.

This is all in addition to our Biblical requirement to keep the Sabbath Holy every week. As you can clearly see, our calendars are booked and we have no time to schedule your riots, tantrums, and petty drama. Even if we did have the time to make an appointment for endless whining and other nonsense, these causes and the values they hold are still in need of much work and investment into other resources that we cannot afford to waste on listening to all the noise, noise, noise of that one thing you hate. There are songs to be practiced so we can be gloriously off key together. There are dances to be stomped. We need the ropes and places to hang stockings instead of people. If you have a problem with your neighbors, fix it quickly and get over it so you can help us celebrate the way God wants us to celebrate together.
There is much to celebrate because it is a beautiful world. At Rebuilding Season, we will work together to move from our selfish frustrations and prejudices into a culture of celebration together. Some of these days are unfamiliar to most of us at the moment. And these are by no means the limits of which God wants us to work together to enjoy the company of those He gave among us.

(y)Our Story
Rebuilding Season is a community to learn from celebration. With so much to enjoy and invite people, it is important that our work is rewarded well in the investments credited towards our values as people. Appreciation is owed in endless gratitude to God and those who obey him.
